Peter Hoffman Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Olsen-Gibson Funeral Home on Dec. 18, 2025.
Peter Paul "Chip" Hoffman Jr., 64, passed away on November 26, 2025 in Jefferson, Wisconsin. He was born on December 17, 1960, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Peter Paul Hoffman Sr. and Mary Robinson Hoffman.

Chip married Kathy Hoffman, with whom he later divorced but remained close friends. Together, they raised three children whom he deeply loved: Lyndsey (Ryan) Paulson, (CJ) Peter Hoffman, and (Luke) Lucas Hoffman. Chip was a proud grandfather to Mason Houk Hoffman and Bronson Paulson.

He spent the majority of his career in HVAC, working as an advisor, technician, and in sales. He took great pride in helping others and was known for his skill, reliability, and dedication.

Chip could fix just about anything and taught his sons to do the same. He enjoyed helping family and friends with repairs and projects.

Chip enjoyed life's simple pleasures-golfing, fishing, tending to his yard, shoveling snow, watching football, reading the paper, and sharing dinners with his family. He cherished time spent with his family and his friends.

He is reunited in death with his parents, Mary and Peter; his brothers Michael (Debbie) Hoffman, Timothy (Elaine) Hoffman, and Danny Hoffman; and his sister Laurie (Bob) Ernst.

Chip is survived by his children Lyndsey (Ryan), CJ, and Luke; his former wife and lifelong friend Kathy; his sisters Kathy (John) Klecan, Patricia (Anthony) Quaranto, and Jenny (Mark) Boyd; along with many extended family members and friends.

Chip's life was built on simple joys and meaningful connections. He found happiness in everyday moments-fixing what was broken, enjoying the outdoors, reading the paper, or spending time with family. Chip leaves behind a legacy of quiet strength, steady hands, and a heart that never hesitated to help. Though he is no longer with us, the lessons he shared, the laughs he sparked, and the love he gave will continue to live on in every life he touched.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the caregivers at Community Care, Productive Living Systems, and Rainbow Hospice for the compassionate care they provided.

In memory of Chip please make a holiday donation to an organization close to your heart.
