ASHEVILLE – Peter Joseph Kublickis, age 73, of Asheville, N.C. peacefully passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026, under the care of emergency room physician and staff in Arden, N.C. with his wife, Judith, at his side.
He was born on December 29, 1952, in Brooklyn, NY, a son of the late Peter and Joyce Kublickis.
Peter was raised in Lakewood, NJ. He graduated from Stevens Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering ‘75.
Peter was a first in the field of personal computers, opening retail PC stores in New York City and Eatontown, NJ. His love of entrepreneurship and technological innovations led him to consult with heads of Fortune 500 companies as they launched new software systems in-house during the 1980s and 1990s, and to create his own business solutions consulting firm. In the early aughts, Peter split his time between his home in NJ and Silicon Valley pursuing advances in marketing and consumer culture. Always looking ahead, in 2007 Peter established a mini-farm in Madison County, N.C. and for 16 years devoted his time to sustainability.
He lived by his own code and showed love for his friends and family with delicious home-cooked food and banter. In 1985, Peter and his first wife, Jan (Smith), adopted their daughter, Adriana, from Colombia, believing what creates a family, above all else, is love and caring. He had a strong presence - intelligent, loving and humorous. His sudden departure is deeply felt.
Surviving is his wife of 34 years, Judith Cestaro; daughter, Adriana Kublickis, her husband, James Roberts; his grandchild, Gus Kublickis Roberts; sisters, Joy Levin (Mike), Gina Buzzetti (Bob), Paula Scholl; and brother, Alex Kublickis.
