East Wallingford- It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Peter (Pete) Lackey.
Pete passed away unexpectedly at home on December 8, 2025, at the age of 63.
He was born to Warren H. and Jean (McGinley) Lackey on June 20, 1962, in Rutland, VT.
He was raised in Mount Holly and attended Mount Holly Elementary School and Black River High School in Ludlow.
Pete worked for Green Mt. Sheetmetal, Blodgett Plumbing and Heating, Black River Mechanical and most recently Bill Lohsen Plumbing and Heating.
He enjoyed spending time with his boys and grandson. He also enjoyed snowmobiling, 4 wheeling and camping.
Pete is survived by 3 sons Brandon of Mount Holly, Cameron of Wallingford and Dakota of East Wallingford and one grandson Cohen Lackey of Wallingford and granddaughter Rayleaha Lackey, his mother Jean Lackey of Rutland, sisters Gloria Vitale (Steve) of Rutland and Judy Durant, 2 brothers mark Lackey (Shella) of Rutland and James Lackey of Rutland.
He was predeceased by his father and a brother Paul Lackey.
The time and location for the Celebration of Life will be announced at a late date.
