On the morning of January 17th 2026 Frances Ruth Hicks had passed away at the age of 77 peacefully within her home. Fran was born on March 18th, 1948 at the Granville Medical Center. Fran had grown up and spent most her life in Fair Haven VT where she created her fondest friendships and memories. Fran loved the outdoors and, was happiest when surrounded by family, regardless if it was a large holiday gathering with family and friends, or just visits at her home. Fran worked in various manufacturing jobs in the Rutland area, and retired in hospitality services. Fran was preceded in death by her parents Floyd Rogers, Elsie Tomsick, her sister Pat Monroe and brother Walt Rogers, Who in no doubt welcomed her to her eternal home gracefully. She is survived by her two children Tina and Chad Hicks, her sister Irene Mahoney & brothers Bob Rogers & David Ward, along with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Calling hours will be held on January 31, 2026 at Aldous Funeral Home in Rutland VT from 1pm to 3pm Followed by a celebration of Life at the Rutland Legion from 3pm to 7pm.
