Andrew Allan Chambers

Andrew Chambers, 64, passed away on February 4, 2026, at UVM Medical Center. He was born on May 21, 1961, in Springfield, Vermont, to Richard and Phyllis (Brown) Chambers.

Andy attended Mill River Union High School, where he graduated in 1979. On June 7, 1980, Andy married the love of his life, Anita (Hawkins) Chambers. Their marriage was built on commitment, trust, and quiet devotion. Their partnership was the foundation of their family, and his love for her was constant and unwavering.

Andy spent his life doing what he loved most-farming. A lifelong dairy farmer, Andy had a deep connection to the land and took great pride in his work. Farming was more than a career for him; it was a way of life that reflected his values of hard work, perseverance, and responsibility.

Above all else, Andy was known for his kindness and generosity. He never hesitated to help someone in need and was always willing to lend a hand, often without being asked. Those who knew him will remember his steady presence, his quiet strength, and the way he showed love through action rather than words.

Andy is survived by his loving wife, Anita (Hawkins) Chambers; his son, David Chambers (Becky) of Clarendon, VT; and his daughters, Alicia Wayman (Brad) of Edmeston, NY, Michelle Stale (Rob) of Clarendon, VT, and Andrea Budge (Matt) of Benson, VT. He is also survived by his beloved mother, Phyllis Chambers of Clarendon, VT; his brothers, Richard Chambers (Susan) of Clermont, FL, Phillip Chambers (Hope) of Poultney, VT, and Tony Chambers of Fair Haven, VT; his sisters, Dianne Tyrrell (Steve) of Cavendish, VT, and Sue Morin (John) of Springfield, VT. Andy was a proud and devoted grandfather to nine grandchildren: Aaron, Justin, Riley, Jenna, Austin, Elliott, Greta, Lucas, and Joy who brought him great joy.

He was predeceased by his father, Richard, and his brother, Steve.

Andy will be remembered for his deep love of farming, his devotion to his family and the quiet kindness that defined his life. His legacy lives on in his family and the many lives he touched.

Services will be held at Calvary Bible Church in Rutland, on Friday February 13th at 4pm.
