Peter Letourneau Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Britton-Wallace Funeral Home - Auburn on Feb. 7, 2024.
Peter J. Letourneau, 60, of Worcester, and formerly of Old Orchard Beach, ME, died on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester. He leaves his mother and devoted caregiver, Barbara D. (Kowaleski) Letourneau; his loving sisters, Monica A. Letourneau, of Savannah, GA, and Andrea L. Novak and her husband Scott, of Cary, NC; nieces and a nephew; godchildren and many caring cousins, friends and neighbors. Peter was most recently predeceased by his brother, John P. Letourneau, in July of 2023 and by his father, Robert J. Letourneau, in June of 2000.
Peter was born, raised, and educated in Worcester, a South High Community School graduate. He worked at Kadant Solutions in Auburn for many years and retired due to a long term disability. He spent much of his leisure time in Maine and especially loved living in Old Orchard Beach for many years. One year, he braved the frigid ocean temperatures and participated in Old Orchard Beach's Lobster Dip event on New Year's Day! Peter enjoyed swimming, walks on the beach, bowling, and karaoke. He had a deep passion and appreciation for music alongside his brother John. Peter was known for being a classic rock lover, a classic TV enthusiast, and a foodie who loved to cook – his salads were the stuff of legends. He had a photographic memory, was a font of knowledge, and was the official family historian. Peter was a bright light in our lives and will be forever loved and missed.
Instead of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Neurofibromatosis Network (https://nfnetwork.org/).
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the Letourneau family from 1 – 3 PM on Sunday, February 11, 2024, at the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central St., Auburn. His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Monday, February 12th, at North American Martyrs Church, 8 Wyoma Dr., Auburn, with burial to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Southbridge.
