Peter "Pete" Mather

Peter "Pete" Mather, age 59, of Montgomery, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 29th, 2025. Pete was a proud and loving father to his seven children: Jacob, Stephanie, Adam, Camryn, Kendall, Avery, and Peyton Mather. His love for his children was boundless, and he supported them in all their endeavors, always proud of the unique lives they each built.
Born on October 30, 1965, to Marlene and the late Pierre "Pete" Mather, Pete was one of six children. He is survived by his siblings Barbara (Paul) Cenko, Eric (Siobhan) Mather, Gretchen (Jeff) Heltman, Mark (Debbie McMillian) Mather, and Christine Mather. In addition to his immediate family, Pete left behind a large circle of extended family members and friends who mourn his passing.
Pete graduated from Sycamore High School ('84) where he was a three-sport athlete: football, basketball, and baseball. He continued to Miami University (BA '88) and was a proud member of the football team and selected All Mid-American Conference First Team in 1987.
Pete led a successful business career, he co-founded Petro Environmental, an environmental remediation company, with his brothers and successfully grew it from a start-up to a well-established business.
A service honoring his memory will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Montgomery Community Church, 11251 Montgomery Rd., Montgomery, OH 45249. The gathering will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. Immediately following, the family invites everyone to continue celebrating Pete's life at Cooper Creek Event Center, 4040 Cooper Rd., Blue Ash, OH 45242, until 4:00 p.m.
