Peter Metcalf, of Revere, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. A devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, Peter will be remembered for his generous spirit, sense of humor, and deep love for his family.
He was the beloved husband of Pamela (Savasta) Metcalf. Together they built a life full of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Peter was the proud father of Peter Anthony Metcalf and his wife Linda, and a loving grandfather to Brian and Stephanie Quinn. He was a cherished brother to Anthony Metcalf and his wife Maryellen, Joseph Metcalf, and Pearl Goodwin, and was predeceased by his brother Albert Metcalf.
He was a devoted uncle to Sophia DiGiacomo, John DiGiacomo, Ava Cincotti, Luca DiGiacomo, Jill Goodwin, and Jack Goodwin, and was predeceased by his dear niece Gia. He also leaves behind his sister-in-law Diane DiGiacomo and her husband John, along with many cousins and close friends who will miss him deeply.
Peter was the proud owner of Peter's Taxi Inc. and a dedicated member of the ITOA. For over 30 years, he served the community as a trusted and familiar face behind the wheel of his cab, always with a story to share or a joke to tell.
Outside of work, Peter enjoyed the thrill of the casino, playing keno and the lottery, cheering on his beloved Boston sports teams, and vacationing in Aruba. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, who were the center of his world.
In memory of Peter, donations may be made to the ALS Association, a cause close to the family's heart.
He will be missed more than words can express, and remembered always with love, laughter, and gratitude.
Family and friends will honor Peter's life on Thursday, June 12th from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM before leaving in procession to St. Joseph - St. Lazarus Church for a 12:00 PM funeral mass. Services will conclude with Peter being laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Peter, please visit our Tree Store.
