David Bruce Metcalf, 65, of Warsaw, KY, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, June 16, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Ft. Thomas, KY, on October 26, 1959, David was the beloved son of the late Robert and Barbara Metcalf. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, embodying a spirit of dedication and resilience that carried through every chapter of his life. David found joy and fulfillment in working with his hands. He built a career in demolition and renovation, where his talents as a handyman shone brightly-he could fix just about anything. Whether he was tinkering with tools, repairing something broken, or building something new, David's work reflected both his skill and his care. A devoted father and grandfather, David's greatest joy came from time spent with his family. He was especially proud of his children and adored his grandchildren. He had a gentle heart, often seen feeding and caring for the neighborhood animals, offering his kindness not only to people but to every living creature that crossed his path. David is survived by his best friend and mother of his children: Debra Scrivner; sons: Randy (Jennifer) Scrivner, Daniel (Stephanie) Scrivner, and Bradley (Kameran) Scrivner; his daughter: Cassie (Mark Melford) Scrivner; his brothers, Bobby (Johna) Metcalf and Mark Metcalf; his sister, Jackie (Dave) Farris; and ten cherished grandchildren. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Online condolences may be shared via Facebook or at SerenityFuneralCare.com. David will be remembered for his steady hands, generous heart, and the quiet strength with which he loved and lived.
