Randi M. (Besseberg) Beasmore, of Edgewood, Ky, entered into eternal rest on September 28, 2025, at Madonna Manor in Villa Hills, KY Randi was born April 18, 1938, to Ole and Gertrude Besseberg in Chicago, IL. She grew up in Fox River Grove, IL. She attended Lutheran churches growing up and eventually converted to the Methodist church. She met her husband Jim while in college. She was attending Cornell College in Mount Vernon, IA and he was at the University of Iowa. They raised their children in many states which included, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Kentucky, and Florida. Randi was fortunate to travel to many states and countries over the years. She and Jim loved their trips to the Nordic Festival in Decorah, IA. At the festival she would collect Rosemaling items and even have some painted for her and her family. Her favorite travel though was to Norway. Her parents were born in Norway and immigrated to America in the late 1920's. She made several trips to Norway and spent time at the Besseberg family farm. She loved to cook and garden. She took great pride in preparing meals for family get togethers either at her house in Edgewood, KY or at the log home in Berea, KY. She loved two special cheeses from Norway, Goat and Nokkelost which were always eaten during the gatherings. She was also an avid Cincinnati Reds fan and loved to watch tennis. Tennis was also a sport she participated in for many years. She cherished watching the winter Olympics in particular the ski and ice skating events. Her father Ole was a ski jumper so ski jumping was close to her heart. While growing up in Fox River Grove, IL she attended many ski jump competitions at Norge Ski Club. Mrs. Beasmore was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, James (Jim) R Beasmore of Edgewood, KY. Her parents Ole and Gertrude Besseberg. Randi is survived by four children, Kevin Beasmore (Lea), Kari (the late Matthew) Wade, Karen Townsend (Bob), Kyle Beasmore (Lori). Eight grandchildren, Nicholas Beasmore (Lindsay) Christopher Beasmore, Holden Wade, Aaron Wade, Katrina Townsend, Leslie Townsend, Carson and Brooklyn Beasmore. Two great grandchildren, Madeline Renee Beasmore and Leslie's son Remington. Her sister Laila Besseberg Hoehamer and other relatives and friends. A celebration of life for the family will be planned at a later date.
