Petra grew up in Hutchinson, Augusta, and Wichita, KS and graduated from Augusta High School in 1971. He worked as a custodian for Sharon Baptist Church and was a keeper of the keys in Wichita.
Petra was a model train enthusiast, collector of match box cars and computers, and loved Dungeons and Dragons.
Peter is survived by his sister, Sally Seck of Hutchinson; sister-in-law, Annette Mohlmann; nieces and nephews, Victor Bird, Mark Bird, Catherine Mohlmann, and Therese Mohlmann; and grand-nephew, Jason Bird (Holly Jimenez-Berg).
He is preceded in death by his parents, John William and Henrietta (Evans) Mohlmann; brother, John Junior Mohlmann; and sister, Jennie Bird.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at Redbud Village in Plainville.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Redbud Village or a local mental health service and may be sent to Plumer-Overlease Funeral Home, 723 N. 1st, Stockton, KS 67669.
