Peter James Noonan

Peter James Noonan, "Pete", 58, passed away on April 11, 2020 at home in North Granby, CT surrounded by family after a courageous fight against Pancreatic Cancer. Peter was born in Hartford, CT on December 15, 1961. Peter grew up in West Hartford, CT., graduated from Hall High School in 1979 and became a dedicated and seasoned Steamfitter/Project Manager/Foreman for many companies from 1979-2019 including Titan Mechanical Contractors, All State Construction, AZ Corporation and M.J. Daly Contractors.
Peter was a devoted husband of 35 years to his wife Theresa (Corsillo) Noonan "Terry" who he met in 7th grade, a father of three wonderful kids, John, Thomas (wife: Anna), Samantha, and a proud new grandfather to Wyatt Peter. Peter was also a beloved son of Robert Noonan and Constance (Carrier) Noonan, brother of Paul Noonan, Karen Noonan and Susan Noonan, loving uncle to 6 nieces and 7 nephews, and friend to countless many.
Peter enjoyed nothing more than being outside and working on his farm with his family raising dogs, goats, chickens, turkeys and pigs, participating in Granby 4-H from 1999-2011, and continuously expanding his ever growing vegetable garden (which for those who knew him best, know that he was never the one eating them - meat and potatoes only!). Peter also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and weekends at his uncle's cabin in Henniker, NH. Peter was nothing but dedicated; he grew up as a Boston Red Sox fan in a house full of New York Yankee fans. Peter was a proud Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, St. Mark The Evangelist, Council 10267.
Peter was a quiet, loving, kind, generous, trouble-maker, who was always happy to help his family, friends and neighbors with any "project", small or large. All he needed was his handkerchief in his back pocket, bean boots on his feet, and a baseball cap on his head.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to all of Peter's Doctors, Nurses and healthcare professionals. A memorial service will be planned at a later date. UPDATED Service Information: A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, (May 17), 10:00 a.m. at Church of St. Peter Claver, West Hartford. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Peter, please visit our floral store.
