Peter V. Olsen, 65, of Hooksett, NH, passed away at the Community Hospice House on January 17, 2026. Born in Manchester on February 26, 1960, he was a son of the late Henry and Rose (Guay) Olsen. He shared nearly 26 years of marriage with his wife, Kelly (Crossman) Olsen.
Peter was raised in Manchester and was a 1978 graduate of Central High School, where he enjoyed playing Varsity football during his 4 years. He later earned his Associate's Degree from Hesser College. He had a long career at G.E. Aerospace in Hooksett as an NDT Inspector before retiring December 1, 2025.
Peter’s greatest joy in life was his family. Loving husband to Kelly and devoted father to Ryan, Mikayla, and Katherine, he treasured every moment spent with his family. He was a constant presence in his children’s lives, volunteering for field trips, school activities, and sporting events, always eager to support them. No distance was too great, and he would gladly drive twelve hours each way just to cheer them on. During the rare moments of downtime, Peter enjoyed breakfasts with his friends, watching "college game day" followed by college football games on Saturdays, and Sunday NFL games at home, surrounded by his family and his beloved dogs, Coco and Bandit.
Peter is survived by his wife, Kelly Olsen of Hooksett; his son, Ryan Olsen and his wife Kait of Manchester; his daughters, Mikayla and Katherine Olsen of Hooksett; his grandchildren, Chase and Colin; his brother, John Olsen of Hooksett; his sister, Nancy Dery and her husband Ronald of Wakefield; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. In addition to his parents, Peter was predeceased by his siblings, Richard Olsen and Gay LaRoche; his nephew, Michael Olsen; and his sister-in-law, Linda Olsen.
Services will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH. A Memorial Gathering will be held from 10:00am to 12:00pm with a Memorial Service in the funeral home at 12:00pm. Family and friends are invited to attend.
