Peter Lawrence Richards, age 84, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2024. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Rev. Alan Davis officiating. Interment will follow at 3:30pm at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta, Georgia.
Born in Atlanta, Mr. Richards had lived most of his life in the Cobb County area. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served as Airman 1st Class. He retired from Sears after over 20 years of employment as a HVAC Technician. He was a member of the American Legion Post 216 in Austell, GA, and of the First Baptist Church of Powder Springs. He also enjoyed shooting pool at the West Cobb Senior Center. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Richards, in 2022.
Survivors include: 3 Daughters, Barbara (Alan) Patterson, Powder Springs, GA, Carol (Chuck) Baird, Social Circle, GA, and Linda (Eddie) Nguku, Powder Springs, GA; 7 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren; Nieces and Nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 12:30 pm until 2:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, Georgia.
