Peter Anthony Russo

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Peter Anthony Russo, a devoted husband, proud father, cherished grandfather, beloved brother, loving uncle, and loyal friend to many.

Peter Anthony Russo, of Valhalla, New York, passed away on January 25, 2026, at the age of 83. Born and raised in White Plains, New York, Peter lived a life rooted in faith, family, service, and community.

A devoted Catholic, Peter's faith guided him throughout his life. Early in life, he served as an altar boy at our Lady of Mount Carmel church in White Plains.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army, an experience that remained a source of great pride to him.

Peter worked for the City of White Plains as a Senior Building Inspector, a role in which he served with integrity and commitment for many years before retiring. He also volunteered with many organizations throughout his life reflecting his commitment to helping others.

In his free time, Peter found joy in gardening, cooking, and watching sports, especially the Yankees and Jets . He also cherished time spent with his family, creating memories that will be treasured forever.

Peter is survived by his loving wife, Marie Russo, and his three children: Paul Russo (Joan) of Shrub Oak, NY; Mark Russo (Mary) of Newnan, GA; and Stephanie Russo-Pastilha (Cesar) of Valhalla, NY. He was the proud and loving grandfather of Anthony, Bella, Jack, and Ella, who brought immense happiness and joy to his life.
