Peter J. Santini

WEST WARWICK- Peter J. Santini, age 78, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 14th, 2022, at home surrounded by beloved family. Born in Rome, Italy, he was the son of the late Mario and Maria (Pelagalli) Santini.
Peter proudly served in the U.S. Army National Guard and achieved the rank of Sargent First Class. He was a graduate of CCRI and Suffolk University, Boston, MA. A lifelong, dedicated educator, he was proud of his extensive teaching career in the West Warwick School Department. After his retirement, he was employed as an adjunct professor at the University of Rhode Island School of Education where he taught and advised student teachers for over 10 years.
While his greatest skill was teaching, Peter was also a talented artist and photographer. For many years, he owned Santini Studio, where he captured wonderful memories at weddings and other important events.
Peter is survived by two sons: Justin Santini and his wife Bella Siu of Hong Kong and Jonathan Santini and his wife Lilian of Miami, FL; companion: Sandra Merdinyan; and former wife: Lucia Santini. He was predeceased by his sister: Maria Teresa Santini-Indovina and her late husband Prof. Piero Indovina of Rome, Italy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 22 at 10:00am at Christ the King Church, 120 Legris Avenue, West Warwick. Family and friends are invited to arrive directly to church. Burial will be private.
