Peter Wolf Sieber of Orange Park, Florida passed away unexpectedly from cancer on February 14, 2026. He was born in 1944 in Neu Salz, Germany to Horst and Vera Sieber. He was raised in Frankfurt Germany until he immigrated to California in 1957 and later became a United States citizen. After several years, the family moved to Washington State following his father's job.

He graduated from Deer Park High School located in Spokane, Washington and then joined the Army. His main duty station was in Anchorage Alaska. After an honorary discharge from the service, Pete moved to Vermont where he worked in design engineering firms before being hired by the VA in the Hospital building and maintenance department. Advancements in the VA brought him to Wyoming for several years and then to Jacksonville, Florida in January 1981. After the VA transferred to St Petersburg, Florida he retired from the VA. He then worked with the City of Jacksonville as a Plans Examiner retiring in 2010.

Pete loved agricultural pursuits including animals and gardening. He had chickens, roosters, geese, a cow, a dog and bee hives when he lived in Vermont. In Florida he had a tortoise, multiple aquariums containing a variety of tropical fish, and a backyard pond containing turtles and fish.

While in Vermont, he was a member of the Shelburne Vermont Volunteer fire department. His other interests and hobbies were garden railroading, Sunday football, especially watching the Jaguars, collecting postage stamps, German beer steins and hat pins obtained from his world travels. He loved to cruise with his wife and family, and he visited many countries throughout the world.

He leaves behind his wife of 41 years Ann Maynard Sieber, two sons, Michael Sieber (Gina), Matthew Sieber, stepdaughter Kathy Estes Gallardo and predeceased stepson Brian Estes. Other family members are grandchildren Casey Sieber, Ryan Sieber, Katie Sieber, Emily Sieber and step grandchildren Jaden Gallardo and Brogan Gallardo;. sisters Regine Sieber, Karin Sieber Scott, Barbara Sieber Salo, half-sister Gizelle Sieber, and half-brothers Jerry Weers and Randolph Sieber.

Pete was a communicant of St. Luke Catholic Church in Middleburg, Florida. A Catholic funeral Mass will be held at a future date.

Pete will be deeply missed by his family and friends for his loving, kind, and funny disposition.
