Peter E. Spragg of Mount Holly, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and friends on Tuesday, September 30th at Paoli Memorial Hospital. He was 64. Born in Camden, Peter grew up in Haddonfield and was a graduate of Haddonfield Memorial High School where he was a member of the concert, jazz and marching bands. He went on to earn his Bachelor's degree from Elizabethtown College and continued his love of music playing in the concert band and jazz band. Over the years, he enjoyed playing in the "pickup" band in Haddonfield, marching down Kings Highway in numerous parades. Peter went on to work in grocery sales and met his wife Charlene at Acme Markets in Maple Shade, NJ; she was the love of his life. Peter loved to spend time with his family, especially in Ocean City, NJ, where he would ride his bike on the boardwalk and visit his favorites like Johnson's Popcorn and Brown's for donuts. He also loved the coast of Maine where he spent time with family, enjoying kayaking, exploring and having lobster dinners on the front porch of the family cottage. In his spare time, he enjoyed radio-controlled cars, playing drums, and was a Hot Wheels collector. Peter is survived by his wife, Charlene; his father Edwin (Jean) Spragg of Downingtown, PA; his mother Suzanne (Roger) Uittenbogaard of Cornwall, PA; his sister Linda Spragg DeLiberty of Dacula, GA; brother Andrew (Marcy) Spragg of Lebanon, PA; step-sister Karen (Ron) Evans of Downingtown, PA; and step-brother Eric (Char) Wederbrand of Celebration, FL. Peter is also survived by his father-in-law Thad Roper, Sr, (late Sandra) of Mt. Holly, NJ, his brother-in-law Thad (Cindy) Roper, Jr. of Lumberton, NJ and his nieces and nephews: Gabriel, Matthew, Sam, Loni, Roger, Victoria, Caylee, and Tyler. He also had the love of many other family members and friends. Relatives and Friends may visit with the family on Friday, October 10th from 11am -12pm at the Perinchief Chapels, 438 High St., Mount Holly, NJ. A Memorial Service will follow at Noon.
