Peter Michael Stanton

Peter "Pete" M. Stanton, Jr., 59, of Garrettsville, OH, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2026, at his home. He was born on August 1, 1966, in Painesville OH, to the late Peter Stanton, Sr. and Patricia Lingafelter.

He was a lifelong resident of Northeast OH. Known for his wit and charm, Pete loved the outdoors, camping, Jeeps, Star Wars, dogs and horses, but above all he loved his daughter, Sarah, his pride and joy.

In addition to his daughter, Sarah, Pete is survived by his mother, Patricia Lingafelter; siblings, Greg Stanton, Beth (Mike) Wycuff, Paul (Sonali) Stanton, and David Stanton; nephews and niece, David, Scott, and Sarah Wycuff; his loving former mother-in-law, Candice, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Peter Stanton, Sr.

The family would like to acknowledge and thank Paul and Candice for the incredible lifesaving gift they both gave, and to Greg, for everything he did to help Pete over the years, especially this last year.
