Peter Johnce Thompson

Peter Johnce Thompson, age 78, of Gordo, AL passed away May 2, 2024 at Aliceville Manor Nursing Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Sunday, May 5, 2024 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel in Reform with Bro. George McLaurine officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Memorial Gardens with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will follow the service at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Polly Clark Thompson; son, Eric Thompson; his parents, George Thompson and Flora Mae Beech McIlwain; two brothers, Don Thompson and Darrel McIlwain and sister, Shirley Locke.
Survivors include his son James Thompson and wife, Amanda of Gordo; brother, Connie Thompson of Russellville; four sisters, Evelyn Donaldson of Aliceville, Sharon Mott of Chatom, Beverly Jones of Elberta and Glenda Beech of Foley and four grandchildren, Ethan, Cody, Ella and Elizabeth.
Peter was born March 7, 1946 in Chatom, Alabama to the late George Thompson and Flora Mae Beech.. He was a retired carpenter and a veteran of the Army National Guard..
Pallbearers will be Gene Beard, John Walker, Ben Grayson, Danel Clark, Sherman Mayhew and Chris Mayhew.
Honorary Pallbearers are the staff of 4th floor Baptist Memorial Hospital, Aliceville Manor Nursing Home and the Washington County High School Class of 1965.
