Peter Thomas Toxby passed away September 4th, 2025, in Kirkland, Washington. Peter was born September 9th, 1938, in Fredericksburg, Denmark to Thomas Toxby and Hilda Karen Marie Olesen Toxby. Peter and his family moved to the United States April 11, 1947. Peter became a U.S. citizen and was a proud alum of Stanford University in Palo Alto, California. While at Stanford, Peter set the university record for the rope climb and showed his entrepreneurial spirit by fixing up used cars and motorcycles, which he would sell to the student body. This carried over to his adult life as he was always "hot rodding" his cars…Peter liked to go fast!

After graduation, Peter embarked on a successful career as a real estate investor in California. Peter married Irene Magers in 1961 and had a son, Thomas Toxby. Peter had two other children, Katherine and Stefan while living in Santa Barbara, CA with his wife Evi. They subsequently moved to Bellevue, WA where he continued in real estate and investing.

Peter met Sharon Lorene Barsness at Calvary Temple in Seattle, Washington, and they were married on January 21, 1989 by D.V. Hurst, then president of Northwest University in Kirkland, Washington. Sharon and Peter enjoyed many happy years together. They loved traveling, skiing, and sailing.

Sharon and Peter dedicated themselves to their faith, family, and to helping others, particularly through Northwest University. Many students have been supported in pursuing higher education through their generous and sacrificial giving. To honor Peter, please consider contributing for scholarships at Northwest University, 5520 108th Ave. NE, Kirkland, WA 98033.

Peter was preceded by his parents Thomas Toxby and Hilda Karen Marie Olesen Toxby. He is survived by son Thomas Toxby of Idaho and son Stefan Toxby and daughter Katherine Toxby, grandsons Oscar and Philip and granddaughter Ella all residents of Germany.
