You taught me so much about History in fifth grade back in 1983(ish). You taught me completely about Hilter and said "If you don't learn about, History is bound to repeat itself ". Well, as you knew, sadly you were right, some of your students listened. I seach of you and your lessons you taught all the time. Which is why I looked you up. Seems I was four months to late, to say thank you. 45 will never get my vote because of you. I wish more people had the opportunity to have you as a teacher. I'm glad that my 31 year old son had the same opportunity I did to have had you as a teacher.

You will live on in both of us, with us telling others your stories and by teaching his new son (my grandson) the same values and morals that you instilled in us.

Thank you for making a difference in my life and my sons. You will forever be remembered, spoken about, and most of all missed. I only wish I had the opportunity to tell you all this to in person.

Much Love,
Eric LaPointe

I´m very sorry to hear of Mr. Wards passing. He was my 4th grade teacher in 2004. I´ve never forgotten him. He had such a profound impact on my childhood and truly cared about teaching us. I still have my copy of the hobbit he signed & gifted me for reading the whole book on my own. I´ve thought of him regularly as the years went by and never missed a chance to mention he was the best teacher I ever had. I´ll miss you Mr. Ward.

All five of our children had Mr. Ward at Federal Street School, whether as a teacher or as a member of Student Council, and we all shared fond memories of him yesterday at Easter dinner. He was known for letting kids come to class early if they wanted to play computer games, and he let younger siblings come, too, as long as they could behave. He was a caring, fun teacher with different interests from prior teachers, and we all appreciated him and are sorry to know he´s gone ~

Mr. Ward was my favorite teacher in all my 12 years in school. He made us students want to learn and was awesome at providing us with the confidence to succeed. He was really super fun at recess. Dodge ball, kick ball, different types of tag, and the list goes on. I often thought of him over the years. He will be missed by many.

What a great teacher, he taught at North Parish school in the 70's. Would read to us the Lord of the Rings and was very theatrical. Sad to hear of his passing. My condolences to the family. He inspired alot of students through out the years. RIP Mr Ward
