Peter grew up in Rochester, NY. He attended 1st through 8th grade at St. Therese Catholic and then from 9th grade through 12th grade at Edison Tech. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1968 and trained at boot camp in Parris Island, South Carolina. He was awarded a certificate in sincere appreciation for his valuable and devoted service; however, he was honorably discharged due to medical disability.
Peter was first married to Barbara, but got divorced after a year and stayed single for 21 years. He kept himself busy working as a machine maintenance (Machinist) at Miller Light Brewery in Irwindale, CA, for almost 3 decades. He is a hard-working, disciplined, self-reliant, and a kind-hearted man. He greatly appreciated nature and had a peaceful mindset of his own.
Later, Peter met his caring, loving, and dedicated wife, Renieta (Renee) Ocampo, and they got married at Los Angeles, CA., on April 3rd, 2002. They resided at La Marcha, Alta Loma, Los Angeles, CA, before relocating to Post Falls, ID in October 2004, till his demise.
In his younger days, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and collecting coins. Later in life, he loved watching ballgames, boxing, movies, and news on TV.
Surviving wife (Renee) of Post Falls. Stepdaughter Clairen Velug, son-in-law Michael Velug, and grandson Mikhaile Velug of CDA, and niece Jessica Onn of Spokane Valley, WA. Brother Donny and Frank Zajac live in Rochester, NY, while brother Tommy Zajac lives in South Carolina. He is also remembered with love by his sisters Joann and Kathy from Rochester, NY, and his niece Cathy from North Carolina. Shawna and Alicia, nephews Harry and Frank jr, who all live in Rochester, NY, along with many others whose lives were touched by him


His memorial service will be held on January 9th at Bell Tower Funeral Home at 1 pm 3398 E Jenalan Ave, Post Falls, ID 83854
