Petra S. Facundo
March 12, 1934 - February 21, 2026
Petra S. Facundo, age 91, of
San Antonio, Texas, was called home to be with the Lord on February 21, 2026. She was born on March 12, 1934, to Soledad Sanchez and Saturnina Corona Sanchez.
Petra was the heart of her family, known for her joyful spirit, contagious laughter, and the deep love she showed everyone around her. She made her grandchildren feel especially cherished - braiding hair before school, teaching treasured recipes, and never letting anyone leave her home with an empty stomach.
A devoted and hardworking woman, Petra faithfully rode the bus or walked to work each day, reflecting the strong work ethic that defined her life. As a compassionate home healthcare provider, she dedicated herself to helping those in need and lived out her faith through service and kindness.
Petra was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Gene Sanchez, Joe Sanchez, Edward Sanchez, Felix Sanchez, Catarino Sanchez, Maria de Jesus Sanchez Vargas, Rosa Sanchez Ibarra, and Juanita Sanchez Monares; and her daughter, Rosalinda Martinez. She was the last surviving sibling.
She leaves behind her loving children: Claudio Facundo and wife Adeline; Corrine Martinez and husband John; Angelica Martinez and husband Arthur; Anthony Lopez and wife Diana; and Jose Dominguez.
She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Claudio Anthony Facundo and wife Iris; Erica Isdale and husband Shay; Diane Glauser and husband William; Alfredo Fuentes III and wife Anita; Andrew Valencia; Cecilia Young Valencia and wife Malorie; Adriana Martinez, Moses Lopez, and Jasmine Lopez; step grandchildren: Vennessa Camacho, and Aaron Russo; and her beloved great-grandchildren: Kirsten Facundo, Diego Facundo, Shepherd Isdale, Nicholas Glauser, Madeleine Glauser, Gabriel Fuentes, Juliana Fuentes, Ariana Fuentes, Armoni Camacho, and Sebastian Camacho; Along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort knowing Petra now rests peacefully in God's eternal embrace. Her warmth, laughter, and loving spirit will live on in the family she so beautifully nurtured.
Petra's love was her family's greatest blessing, and her memory will be treasured always.
