Funeral services will take place Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
Phao was born January 15, 1935 and was raised in Laos. He was united in marriage to Hor Sounnarath. They were blessed with seven children: Simone, Khonesavanh, Siphanh, Soubanh, Bounchanh, Khamphanh, and Colton.
He served in the Laos Army in admissions for over twenty years, retiring in 1990. He then moved to the United States, residing in California before moving to Storm Lake. You could find Phao fishing or socializing at the temple. More than anything, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. Phao will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish Phao's memory include his children: Simone Southiphong; Khonesavanh Latsasombath; Siphanh Southiphong; Soubanh Keovyphone; Bounchanh Southiphong; Khamphanh Southiphong; Colton Southiphong; 14 grandchildren; six grandchildren; extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
