Philip Eugene Bagnell, 39, of New Brunswick, NJ, died October 12th 2023 in Newark, DE.
He was born in October, 1984, to Joseph and Genevieve Bagnell in Freehold, NJ. Philip proudly welcomed his daughter Winifred into the world in 2017. He married Amanda Velez-Bagnell in March, 2023. Phil worked as a Fire equipment safety inspector for more than 10 years.
Phil was an avid sports fan, actively involved in Fantasy teams. His love for music was unmatched and diverse. Phil always knew a bit about any subject and was constantly researching current events and looking up the history of whatever struck his curiosity in any particular moment. Most notably, Phil lit up every room he was in with his big personality, fantastic sense of humor and wildly infectious smile. He was the life of every party.
Philip is survived by his wife, Amanda Velez-Bagnell, daughter Winifred Baxer, parents, Joseph and Genevieve Bagnell, and his brother Joseph Bagnell and sister in-law Melanie Bagnell. He is also survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Marcos and Judith Velez and sister-in-law Katelyn Velez and her partner Chris Sosa, and his 6 nieces and nephews. Phil will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, November 10th from 9am – 12pm, with a prayer service at 11:30am at Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St, Red Bank, New Jersey 07701. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Diabetes Association https://diabetes.org/ways-to-contribute or Best Friends (pet rescue) https://bestfriends.org/ in memory of Phil.
