South Milwaukee, WI - Passed away peacefully with family on November 8, 2024 at the age of 90 years. Beloved husband of Janice for 59 years. Much loved and cherished father of Christopher (Brenda) and Timothy. Survived by many relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents Helen and Henry, loving wife Janice, siblings Mary Helen Clark (Thomas), Agnes Gaworski (Sylvester), Rita Wilk (John), Joseph (Carol), and Joanne.
Philip was born in 1933 and graduated from South Milwaukee High School and UW-Milwaukee. Philip proudly served his country as a volunteer in the United States Army, following in the footsteps of his beloved brother Joseph and father Henry. He had a fulfilling career as an educator with most of his time at Muskego High School. Phil was also the coach of the Muskego High School golf team. He was a talented artist, and his works emulated many artistic styles, a variety of mediums and there was really nothing he could not do. He was an avid reader, golfer, and loved to meet the challenges of crossword puzzles and advanced trivia. His knowledge of music and genres was admirable and well respected. He retired early to dedicate his time as the primary caregiver for our mother Janice.
His family is appreciative to all those that enjoyed being with him. The friendships he forged will always be remembered and truly admired. The family expresses a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Oak Creek Place (Trustwell Living) and St. Croix Hospice for their compassion and support. The caregivers are angels on Earth and we are so grateful for their care and friendship to Philip.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wisconsin MS Society are appreciated.
