Philip J. Bruneau, 94 years young, died peacefully on August 31, 2025 with his family by his side. Born in New Haven on January 15, 1931, he was a lifelong resident of West Haven. Phil was the son of the late PJ and Lillian Jordan Bruneau. In addition to his parents, his wife Carol Remilliard Bruneau, great grandson Nicholas, and his siblings, Joan and Amil predecease him. Phil's family includes his children Philip Bruneau, Kathy Woodworth (Bruneau), Linda Adamowski (Bruneau), and his brother Harry Bruneau. He was a devoted Poppy to grandchildren John, Jillian (George), Kristin, David and Stacey and Pop-pop to Brianna, Ryan and Nathan. Phil was well loved by many family and friends.

Countless summers were spent with family and friends, on Lake Zoar and Indian Wells, teaching everyone how to water ski. Phil enjoyed spending time with his favorite cousin and #1 "Toots" Leona Macey. His first-born grandson, partner in crime, and forever sidekick John resided with Phil for many years. A Veteran of the Korean War, Phil proudly served in the Army, stationed in Germany.

All are invited to attend a graveside service with prayers and military honors on Friday September 5, 2025 in Beaverdale Memorial Park. Please meet promptly at the cemetery office, on Pine Rock Avenue, New Haven, at 10:45.
