Philip W. Cassese Jr. passed away Sunday, September 4, 2022 with his family by his side. Philip was born in Carmel, NY on June 26, 1962 to Philip & Carol (McEvoy) Cassese. Phil grew up in New York and later his family relocated to Kerrville, TX where he finished school. He eventually moved to Florida where he met his wife, Linda, of 33 years. They were married on September 30, 1989 at Holy Rosary Church in Darlington. In 2000 they made Darlington their permanent home.
Phil went to work for the Local #314 Carpenters Union in 2002 where he has worked until present. Phil loved all the new family and friends that he made in Darlington. He enjoyed watching the Wisconsin Badgers and Green Bay Packers. He was never one to turn down the FAMOUS patio parties.
Phil is survived by his wife Linda; his daughter: Cara (Rey Mancila) Cassese; his grandson: Landon – his forever BRO, all of Darlington. His mother: Carol and sister: Felicia Neville of Plano, TX, brother: Frank Bailey and sister: Erin Baily of Texas; cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Philip Cassese; paternal grandparents: William and Ann Cassese; maternal grandparents Thomas and Susan McEvoy; in-laws: Dwayne and Phyllis Thomas; uncles: Joe, Nunzio, and John Cassese; brother-in-law: Rick Neville, and brother and sister-in-law: Al and Margie Douglas.
Phil will truly be missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 1:30 P.M. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church (104 E. Harriet St., Darlington) with Fr. Luke Syse officiating. A visitation will be held Saturday, September 10, 2022 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:15 P.M. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. The Erickson Funeral Home in Darlington is serving the family.
