Philip Cunningham Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Yurs Funeral Home of St. Charles on Dec. 27, 2025.
Philip B. Cunningham, age 76, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2025 in St. Charles, IL

surrounded by his loving family.

A Chicago native born March 10, 1949, the son of Elizabeth and Raymond Cunningham,

Philip was a graduate of Lane Tech High School and attended Southern Illinois University. A man of

many talents, he earned his pilot's license before embarking on a distinguished 37-year career

with the United States Postal Service, where he rose to the rank of Manager, Maintenance Operations.

While working at the United States Postal Service he met his wife, Pamela.

Together they built a home in St. Charles and a family rooted in love and support.

Philip was a devoted father who never missed an opportunity to support his sons' sports and

musical endeavors. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life; a Chicago Bears or White Sox

game, and traveling with his family to Florida and Las Vegas.

Philip is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Pamela; his children Jonathan (Danielle) of

Batavia, IL, Thomas (Gabriella) of Greenwood, IN; sister Janet Cunningham of Chicago, IL;

brother Martin (Lynn) Cunningham of Hoffman Estates, IL; and several dear nieces and nephews.

Philip was preceded in death by his parents Elizabeth and Raymond Cunningham and daughter Michelle.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 7 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Patrick Crane Road Church,

6N487 Crane Road, St. Charles, IL followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at
