Philip H. Eberhart (83) of Leesburg, Florida passed away peacefully at home on June 11, 2025. He was born December 4, 1941 in Canton, Ohio to Philip and Ruth Eberhart.
He was a 1959 graduate of Canton South High School where he was an athlete and president of the National Honor Society. He graduated from The Case Institute of Technology in Cleveland earning an electrical engineering degree. He also received his MBA from Kent State University. Throughout his career, Phil worked for Motorola, NRM, Eberhart Coal, and sales in the plastic industry.
Phil enjoyed boating, fishing, camping, and spending time with his family and friends. Over the years, his golden retrievers were loyal companions and brought him much joy. He was an active member of the Atwood Yacht Club in Sherrodsville, Ohio and his picture hangs on the wall as their 2001 Commodore. He was a practicing member of the Catholic Church.
Phil is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years Rose Eberhart. Also left to cherish Phil's memory are his daughters Cathy (Ben) Barber of Utah, Shelly (Lance) Lewis of Tennessee and son Jim (Michele) Eberhart of Ohio. He is also survived by his five grandsons Chad, Logan, Colin, Griffin, and Derek and three great grandsons.
A celebration of Phil's life will be held in Ohio and will be announced at a later date.
