Philip Belfiore Obituary

Philip J. Belfiore, 90, of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully, Friday, November 7, 2025, with his family by his side. He was born September 5, 1935, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Stephen L. and Catherine Marino Belfiore. Philip lived his life in Canonsburg, where he was a member of St. Oscar Romero Parish / St. Patrick Church. He was a graduate of Canonsburg High School, class of 1953. Phil was a self-employed businessman and owner of Belfiore Vending. He enjoyed running, antiques and wrestling. He loved his work and sitting on his front porch. On June 29, 1957, he married Bonnie M. Tauzel, who passed away on July 2, 2025, after 68 years of marriage. Left Behind to cherish his memory are his devoted sons: Phillip Belfiore (Nancy Pierce) of Northeast, David Belfiore (Kris Jack) of Strabane and Matthew Belfiore of Houston; daughter-in-law, Kathy Belfiore of Charlotte N.C.; two brothers, Stephen J. (Donna) Belfiore of Cecil and Ralph K. Belfiore of Eighty-Four; his sister-in-law, Sandra Belfiore of Cecil; his beloved grandchildren: Bradley Belfiore, Brittany (Adam) Burke, Emily, Elisa and Angelea Belfiore; his great-grandsons, Joshua and William Burke; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased, in addition to his wife and parents, are his son, Mark Belfiore, who passed away January 6, 2025; and his brother, Joseph Belfiore who passed away July 5, 2019. Private family visitation will be held at Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra, LFD, owner / supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon, Friday November 14, in St. Patrick Church, 317 West Pike Street, Canonsburg. Entombment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial can be made to Catholic Charities to the Diocese of Pittsburgh, 331 S.
