Philip Duane Lee, 68, of Charlestown passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2025. He was born in Wakefield, RI, son of the late Frank C. Lee Jr and Dorothy (Tucker) Lee. He was the beloved partner of Brenda Hurst.

Phil worked and dedicated over 40 years at Electric Boat, where he became a valued and respected member of building and supporting the U.S. Navy's submarine fleet. Throughout his career, Phil made lasting contributions and colleagues will remember him as a great guy and a true friend.

Phil was a devoted mentor and leader for the Boy Scouts of America. Phil's legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him. Phil will not only be remembered for his love of the outdoors, but also for the lessons he passed on about leadership, resilience, and giving back to the community. Phil was most proud of his two sons, who achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, inspired by the example he set as a father.

In addition to his scouting involvement, Phil was known for his warm and welcoming nature. Whether mentoring scouts, volunteering at community and church events, or organizing activities (such as his annual "goon trip"), he touched the lives of all who met him. Phil was a friend, a guide, and a role model - someone whose kindness and dedication left an indelible mark.

Besides his late wife, Beverley Rucker-Lee, Phil leaves behind the family who meant the world to him. He is survived by his two sons, Casey Lee (Kelly) and Christopher Lee (Taylor), and their mother and lifelong friend, Patricia Hartford. He also leaves behind four cherished grandchildren, Isabella and Maxwell Lee, and Faye and Wyatt Lee. Phil is further survived by his eight brothers and one sister David Lee (Diann), Kenneth (Diane) Lee, Paul Lee (his late wife, Dawn), Peter Lee (Gail), Terrence Lee (Gayle), Robert Lee, Stephen Lee (Kathy), Michael Lee (Jennifer), and Lori Harrison (Carl). He will also be deeply missed by his loving partner, Brenda, her son Andrew, and his faithful dog, Budda.

Visiting hours will be held Saturday, August 30, 2025, 10 am-12 pm at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St, Wakefield, RI. A funeral service will immediately follow at 12pm.

My sincerest condolences, Phil will be missed by everyone who had the privilege to meet him.
Phil was my friend and co-worker for many years. As retirees we met monthly for breakfast and continued to share stories and many laughs, I will miss my friend dearly.
Sleep well my brother, til we meet again.
