Philip McDonald, a beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away on January 17, 2024, in Kerrville, Texas, at the age of 72. Born on June 12, 1951, in Corsicana, Texas, Philip was the cherished son of William E. and Verna McDonald.
Philip's memory will be cherished by his devoted mother, Verna, and his loving sisters: Connie Harrison and Brenda Carpenter. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles, all of whom held a special place in his heart.
Philip was preceded in death by his father, William E. McDonald, and his beloved daughter, Amy McDonald. Though their absence weighs heavy on those left behind, Philip finds peace in their reunion in the presence of his Lord and Savior.
Philip's life was marked by his love for the open road and the freedom of riding his motorcycle through the Hill Country. He found peace in the wind against his face and the beauty of the landscape unfolding before him. In addition to his love for motorcycling, Philip had a passion for music and singing, finding joy in the melodies that filled his heart.
A graveside service to honor and remember Philip's life will be held at Oakwood Cemetery on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 2:00pm with Dr. Danny Reeves officiating. It will be a time to reflect on the memories shared, the love given, and the legacy left behind.
Philip's absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him, but his spirit will continue to live on in the memories and hearts of those he touched. He will be fondly remembered for his adventurous spirit, his kind heart, and the joy he brought into the lives of others.
