Philip G. Moore, 70
FELTON, DE - Philip G. Moore passed away unexpectedly at Kent General Hospital on October 1, 2022, surrounded by his son and family. Philip was born on September 11, 1952, in Dover, DE son to the late Phillip M. and Vera Moore who passed away in 2012 and 2018 respectively.
He retired as a Mail Carrier from the State of Delaware after more than thirty years of service. He was a dedicated community volunteer and was a Life Member of Dover Fire Company. Phil loved lighthouses and collecting Dept 56 houses. His passion were his cats, Bailey and Fuzzy and he loved bird watching with them. He was also an avid Nascar fan and enjoyed listening to Oldies but Goodies and Christmas music year-round.
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Moore in 2009.
He is survived by his only son, Philip and his wife, Stephanie (Younger) and his grandchildren Brodie and Braelynn that were loved very much by him. He is also survived by many friends and family that cared for him, cousins, Steve and Gary Wolff and their families; in addition to special friends, Carolyn and Steve Downes, Reggie Brown, Doc and Ruth Rowe, Paul Davis, Michelle English and Beth Foote and their families. He will be missed by many others that he touched throughout his life.
Visitation Wednesday, October 5, 2022 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service Thursday, October 6, 2022, 11 a.m. at Pippin Funeral Home, Wyoming, DE; where friends may call an hour prior.
In lieu of Flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Heart Association.
