Philip Alan Schreiber, 71, passed away September 21, 2022 at his home in Larned.
He was born February 13, 1951 in Great Bend, the son of Elmer Leon and Mildred L. Fairchild Schreiber.
A lifetime area resident, raised on a farm south of Larned, he was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Larned. He was an Activity Therapist at Larned State Hospital and later a Para Educator for USD 495. He enjoyed yardwork and gardening, running, attending his children and grandchildren's activities, and spending time with family.
On December 3, 1977 he married Ann Vratil in Larned; she survives.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Stefanie (Cody) Turner, Wamego, Emily (Michael) Racette, Larned; six grandchildren, Savannah Racette, Brayson Bird, Camden Bird, Kennedy Bird, Dalton Turner, Adreana Turner; and his loyal companion, Sandy.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; step father, Bill Hanshew; brother, Eldon Schreiber; two step brothers, Dudley Hanshew, and Dean Hanshew.
Memorial mass will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 7, 2022 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Larned, with Father Bernard Felix presiding. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 6, 2022 at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned, with family present from 4-6 p.m. Inurnment will be in the Larned Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Larned Recreation Commission in care of Beckwith Mortuary, PO Box 477, Larned, Kansas 67550.
