Philip Taurino Obituary
Philip J. Taurino of Maple Shade passed away suddenly on Monday August 18, 2025 at the age of 74. He was born in Philadelphia on March 11, 1951 to the late Peter and Anna Taurino. Phil proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He was the owner of Phil's Hairstyling in Bridesburg, Pa. and resided in Philadelphia before moving to Maple Shade 30 years ago.
Phil loved to read sci-fi, fantasy, and mystery books. He had a passion and talent for hairstyling. Following in his mother's and uncle's footsteps, making it a family business for over 60 years. The hair salon was his second home and family with his employees and clients.
Beloved husband of Karen Taurino (nee Hawkins), loving father of Gena (Gregory) Tayman, and Philip Taurino. Philip joins his brother Anthony Taurino and sister Sandra Taurino. Philip leaves behind many loved family and friends, including his sister Grace Picarella and brothers Peter and Michael Taurino. He also leaves behind 14 nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are welcome to join in a celebration of life luncheon at Amalfi Ristorante located at 13032 Bustleton Ave., Ste C, Philadelphia PA 19116 on Sunday, August 24 at 12 pm.
