Philip A. "Tony" Wineman, 85, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 25, 2025 in a care center in Fernandina Beach, FL.

Tony was born in Jacksonville on August 17, 1939 and son to the late Muriel and Al Hardin. He attended Andrew Jackson High School and was in the first graduating class of Ribault High School. After high school he served in the Florida Air National Guard and then went to work for the Jax Highway Dept for 3 years. Tony then joined the Jacksonville Fire Department where he proudly served for 31 years before retiring in 1992. After retiring from the Fire Department, he worked as a chauffeur for different companies, mostly out of the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island. He was most recently employed by Dana's Limousine and Transportation Co.

In addition to his parents, Tony was preceded in death by his sister, Cheryl Yonn and his wonderful wife of 24 Years, Mary Wineman. He is survived by his children: Debbie Brady (David), Linda Beverly (Bill), Toni Lynn Sweat; step-daughters: Tara Atwell (Tony) and Kristi McNeil (Mike); 6 grandchildren: Kayla, Becky, Erin, Shawn, Andrew and Alysa; 13 great grandchildren: Eli, Eva, Will, Ryleigh, Brooklynn, Mason, Conner, Hayden, Tucker, Adam, Manly, Ash "Smokey" and Mason as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Tony was an active member and usher for many years at North Jacksonville Baptist Church, 8531 N. Main Street, where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 31, 2025 with Dr. Herb Reavis and Rev. Chris Coram officiating.

Burial will follow at 1:30 PM at Homeland Cemetery in Charlton County, GA.

His family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that contributions be made to North Jacksonville Baptist Church's Building Fund.

Peeples Family Funeral Home is serving the Wineman Family.
