I worked with Phil in LPS. He never forgot what it was like to be in the classroom and always put students and teachers first. He was a good teacher, admin, friend, and man, and he will be missed.

Coach Wright was my junior high speech teacher 30 years ago and I still remember him. He was so much different than every other teacher. It's no surprise he went on to become such a successful superintendent, he just had that natural leadership presence that made you pay attention and take him seriously. He could have been a top-notch NCAA or NFL coach, too.

I graduated with Phil. Class of 1977 Macon Missouri. Anybody that took time to get to know him was truly blessed and had a friend for life. When our kids went to college at UCM in Warrensburg they made friends second generation. As Julie Bianco said he always had certain names for each. Mine was Sis and I cherished that name. Prayers to Angie and the family

A genuine kind and respectful person. I just always liked that he always called me by my last name- Bianco.

Phil was a great guy & will be missed by all of us in the Class of `77. In grade school class pictures I was with Phil, Ray Bradley, Denise Stone, Debbie Thrasher, Scott Waddell and others in the back row. We knew where to go when it was time to line up! Our back row numbers are dwindling. Phil & I were driving partners in drivers ed & worked on the yearbook together with some great classmates.
My deep sympathy to all of his family. May God comfort you in your loss.

I am so sorry to hear this. I have known him since he was a baby. His parents were our neighbors. Have not been in touch with him for a few years. I pray for strength for his family

Our days growing up in Macon created great memories on the baseball field and the basketball court. Enjoyed following Phil´s career, and the occasional Royals game with him. Phil was a good man and good friend. Peace be with you.
