Phillip Bruce Coston

Phillip Bruce Coston, age 90, of St. Louis passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at the Laurels of Fulton. He was born on March 21, 1933, in Gratiot County, the son of Russell and Lola (Drumm) Coston. He was a 1951 graduate of St. Louis High School and served in the National Guard.
Phillip owned and operated the Town and Country Fruit Market in Alma and Mt. Pleasant for many years and continued selling flowers and produce to local markets until the age of 85. He also spent several years driving school bus. He enjoyed attending horse races and for many years was a partner of his own racehorse. He enjoyed gambling and spending time with family.
Phillip is survived by his children, Dennis (Sharon) Coston of Alma, Sheila McElhaney of Lake, Julie Fuentes of St. Louis; six grandchildren; and many great and great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Bernard Coston, Mollie Tiggeloven, Wanda Duke and a great-granddaughter, Emily.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023, at 1 pm at Lux Funeral Home, 228 W. Center St. St. Louis, MI. Interment will follow in Emerson Township Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 11 am until the time of services at the funeral home.
