Phillip Leroy Douglas

Phillip Leroy Douglas passed away on January 11, 2026, at home, following a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Born and raised in Pensacola, Florida, Phillip honorably served in the United States Army from 1981 to 1988, a commitment he carried with pride throughout his life.

Phillip had a love for music, playing the guitar, and fishing. He also enjoyed expressing his creative side through art. He found comfort in the simple pleasures of life and deeply loved his cats, who were constant companions. Those who knew him will remember his creativity, quiet strength, and devotion to the people he loved most.

He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Robert Douglas Sr.; his mother, Lois Amy Douglas; his sister, Leah Virginia Darby; his brothers, Paul Stephan Douglas and Terry Grey Douglas; and his sister, Carolyn Douglas Pappas.

Phillip is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Carla Douglas of Pace, Florida; his sisters, Karen Douglas of Pensacola, Florida, and Jackie Fleming of Milton, Florida; his sons, Robert Douglas of Yulee, Florida, Shawn Douglas of Newton, Alabama, and Derrick Douglas of Enterprise, Alabama; his stepson, Scott James of Milton, Florida; his stepdaughter, Alicia Faulk (Danny Faulk) of Milton, Florida; as well as many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Phillip will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
