Phillip Wayne Flowers, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on October 2, 2025, at his residence in Franklin, Kentucky. Born on June 14, 1955, in Glasgow, Kentucky, Phillip dedicated his life to his family and his career as a truck driver, traversing many roads and connecting with countless people along the way.
Phillip was known for his warm personality and infectious laughter. His passion for the University of Kentucky sports made him a loyal fan. Phillip’s ability to bring joy to those around him was unmatched; he was one of the biggest cut-ups you could ever meet, always ready with a joke or a heartfelt story. Known affectionately as Uncle Phil, he had the biggest heart and loved engaging in conversations that revolved around cherished memories, ensuring that the bonds of family and friendship remained strong.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Martha Brooks Flowers, and their daughters, Amy Stockton (Jason Simmons) and Jessica Butler (Logan), Phillip was also a proud grandfather to Courtney Morgan (Travis), Beau Butler, and Bryson Butler. He took immense joy in being a great-grandfather to Korah Morgan. Additionally, Phillip is survived by his sisters, Shelia Spillman and Patricia Wood (Aldwin), and his brother, Timothy Flowers (Cathy), along with several nieces and nephews who will forever hold him in their hearts.
Phillip was preceded in death by his father, Wondal Flowers; mother, Imogene Patrick Flowers; daughter, Stacy Flowers; and brother, Leon Flowers. His legacy of kindness and joy will continue to resonate with all who had the privilege of knowing him.
The funeral service for Mr. Flowers will be held on October 6th, at 1:00 PM at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be on October 5th, 2025, at 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and on Monday morning until time for the service at the funeral home.
