Phillip Neil Hays, age 78, passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 in Lexington. He was retired from Lexington Electric System, Hays Market, and Stanfill Enterprises. He also served in the Tennessee National Guard. He is survived by his wife, Carol Hays; 2 daughters, Tammy Davis and Ashley Helton (Dusty); 2 grandchildren, Zachary Hays (Marissa) and Dillon Davis (Brooklyn); 2 great grandchildren, Kenzie Hays and Micah Hays; and 3 sisters, Joyce Fesmire (David), Edith Blankenship, and Paulette McPeake (Danny). He was preceded in death by his parents, Olice and Elizabeth Hays; 3 brother in laws, Don Blankenship, Waylon Buck, and Noah Lee Wood; and 2 sisters, Hazel Wood and Janice Buck. Funeral services will be on Friday, October 3 at 1PM at Sand Ridge Baptist Church with burial to follow in Sand Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 11AM-9PM and Friday from 10AM until service. All visitation will be held at Sand Ridge Baptist Church.
