Phillip Lemell Hines, 65, passed away on September 12, 2025. He was born on February 17, 1960, in Pumphrey, Maryland to the late George and Verna Mae Hines.

Upon graduating from Brooklyn Park High School in 1978, he entered the workforce. He had a 15+ years career with Baltimore City Back River Wastewater Treatment Plant. Phillip later left the city and moved to a 15+ year career with AMTRAK. Upon his retirement, he enjoyed fishing, watching horse races, playing Keno, and his faithful weekends at the flea market! If Phil stopped you to chat, be prepared for a 30–45-minute conversation.

Phil was a loving father, brother, and friend.

He is survived by his daughter Trisha Hines, his sister Lisa Swann, his brother-in-law Charles Swann, Trisha’s mother Ruth Darnell, his aunt Vivian Johnson, along with a host of dedicated extended family and friends.
