Phillip Frederick McCode, 'Squeak", age 51, of West Philadelphia, PA, passed away on the afternoon of January 31, 2026. Phillip, better known as "Squeak" or "Lil Penny", was born on December 31,1974 to the late William Devore Ash and Mary "Ms. Mary" "Blondie", (Simmons) McCode; two firecrackers that created a star. He was a graduate of Overbrook High School. His smile was contagious, and he had an everlasting effect on anyone who made it into his orbit. He got attention, and he loved every minute of it (especially from the girls). "Squeak" was fiercely loyal to those he loved and fiercely stubborn at the same time. A mean dice player, fashion guru, and creative genius, with the heart of a lion. Though we have to take the hands we are dealt in life, he took it in stride and carried it like the true "G" he was at all times. Never giving up, not once. It was never an option. It is so very true that we do not own people, we get to experience them. It can be in the blink of an eye, or for a lifetime. When you come across such an amazing soul like "Squeak", you will always remember and feel the emotion left behind for an eternity. Special beyond measure, loved beyond what our hearts can find. Truly one of a kind. Your presence will forever be missed. Your contribution to mankind has been noted in the books. You will forever be Legendary in this life and beyond.

Phillip is survived by his daughter Saniya McCode, Saniya's sister Skylar Hatchell, and their mother Jessica C. Lynch-Rodriguez, his dear friend Kimberly Flowers and her children Isabella Flowers and Jimmy Flowers, two older brothers, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Visitation from 6:00-7:00 pm followed by a Memorial Service at 7:00 pm on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at the Emil J. Ciavarelli Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 516 Fayette St., Conshohocken, PA. Interment will be private.
