Fort Worth, Texas - Phillip Clark Pitzer, a cherished friend and steadfast supporter, was born on April 26, 1983, in Breckenridge, Texas, to Lisa and Greg Pitzer. As one of the eldest cousins in a large, loving family, he embraced the caretaker role with a warm heart and an unwavering commitment to those he held dear.

Clark found his calling early in life, proudly following in his family's footsteps in the oil industry. He graduated from Breckenridge High School in 2001 as an Eagle Scout and a standout Buckaroo football player before earning his degree in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Texas. His college years were filled with unforgettable moments, including the epic 2006 Rose Bowl road trip with his SAE fraternity brothers, solidifying friendships that would last a lifetime.

Clark built a remarkable career in the oil and gas sector, most recently serving as Vice President of Engineering at Eagle Permian Partners, and was proud to work with some great people who became great friends. He also served as President and Co-CEO of Shot Hollow Resources from 2017 onward, with previous roles at Jetta Operating Company, Ventex Oil & Gas, and Quicksilver Resources, earning respect and admiration for his leadership and expertise throughout the industry.

Clark achieved something special in life, he loved his work and was good at it. After petting the dog each morning, he'd exclaim, "Morning report time!" and they'd get to work together. He was proud of his work, but he was most interested in making sure others in the industry found the same opportunity and joy in their work as he did.

A natural host, he loved filling his days with family and friends, always ensuring that laughter and great stories were at the heart of every gathering. As "Uncle Caca," Clark was devoted to his nieces and nephews, and he actively supported causes close to his heart, such as the Ashford Rise School of Dallas.

In early 2016, Clark met his match and debate partner, Katie Bush, even though she fell short on the chess board. They married on June 5, 2021, and created a happy life together "South of the Bricks" in Fort Worth. Clark and Katie shared passions for good food, good experiences, and good stories and filled their home with love and warmth.

Clark's happiest moments were spent at the family ranch in Caddo, where he enjoyed dove hunting with family and friends. His loyal companion, Brittle, was always by his side, even if he never quite achieved the status of a true "bird dog" like Molly that came before him.

He is survived by his wife, Katie; his loving parents, Greg and Lisa Pitzer; his best bud and brother, Scott Pitzer (Abbie); and his beloved sister, Adele Reckling (Stephen). He also leaves behind a wide circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and loyal friends who will forever treasure his humor, kindness, and spirit.

A Memorial Service will be held at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 207 W Broadway Ave., Fort Worth, on Tuesday, September 24, at 2:30 p.m. In honor of Clark's wish to spread joy to others, contributions may be made to the Clark Pitzer Endowed Scholarship in Petroleum Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin or the Ashford Rise School of Dallas.
