Mr. Phillip (Todd) Strong, age 96, of Moss, TN, passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at Monroe County Medical Center.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Upton-Hay Funeral Home with Tim Eaton and Chris Vinson officiating and interment to follow in the Macedonia Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Friday, August 8, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. until time for the service.

Phillip was preceded in death by his parents, Mose J. and Dochia (Reecer) Strong; spouse, Anna (Brown) Strong; daughter, Julie Rose Ballard; siblings, Billy, Lattie, Vishia and John Goolsby, Willie Martin Strong, Paul (Cricket) and Christine Strong, Malcom and Wanda Strong, Evelyn Brown, Junior B and Emma Strong, and John Millard Strong.

He is survived by his spouse, Sue Copas-Strong; son, James Martin Strong and wife Mary Head-Strong; daughter, Susan Beth Birdwell and husband Leon; grandchildren, Todd Martin Strong, Jada White, Phillip Birdwell, Luke and Lauren Birdwell, Eric and Mandy Birdwell, Lindsey Blakley, Marty Blakley, Scottie and India Ballard; great-grandchildren, Justin, Ellianna, Tabor, Lillie, Trevor, Levi, Jerron, Laike, Julianna, Taylor, Harley, Hayley, Landon, Archie; sister, Janie K. Smith; brother-in-law, James Turner Brown; step-children, Deborah Vinson and husband Chris, Greg Copas, and John P. Copas; step-grandchildren, Sarah and Casey Burke, Katelyn Vinson, Jared Vinson, Jacob Copas, Corey Copas, and Leah Jo Copas; 8 step great-grandchildren; ; as well as a host of friends and neighbors that will mourn his passing.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to Macedonia Cemetery.
