SALEM – Mr. Phillip A. Turner 86, of Salem, beloved husband of Carol Ann (Harding) Turner with whom he shared 62 years of marriage, died Monday, October 13th, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family.
Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Charles and Gladys (Greenlaw) Turner. He was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School, class of 1956.
As a young man, Mr. Turner worked for the former Goldberg's Grocery Store in Salem. He began his professional career with the General Electric Company as an inspector, working for over 40 years until the time of his retirement. In retirement, he was a beloved school bus driver for special needs children with the town of Danvers.
A lifelong resident of the City of Salem, Phillip was a member of the Polish Club in Danvers, the VFW in Peabody and the Moose Lodge in Salem. He was well liked and had many friends. He enjoyed spending his time outdoors, boating and golfing in the summer and snowmobiling in the winter. He was an avid Boston sports fan and when the Red Sox won their first world series during his lifetime, he was over the moon. Above all else, he was devoted to his family.
Phillip is survived by his daughter, Gail (LeBrun) Amancio and her husband Nelson of Salem, his son, Glen Turner and his wife Linda of Foxboro, his grandchildren, Tommy LeBrun, David LeBrun and his wife Lyndsay, Timmy LeBrun and his wife Kelly, his great-grandchildren, Bradley, Alyssa, Vanessa, Jocelyn and Matthew and several nieces and nephews. He was the beloved brother of Beatrice Dion, Arlene Ayres and Edgar and James Turner.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service which will be held O'Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 167 Maple St. (Rte. 62) DANVERS on Friday, October 17th at 11 AM.
