Phillip Marvin Walden Jr. "Phil", 83 of Lillington, peacefully passed away September 23, 2025 while surrounded by his family. Phil was born June 22, 1942 in Halifax County, Virginia to the late Ola Mae Thompson Walden and Phillip Marvin Walden, Sr.

Phil is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 60 years, Brenda McInville Walden; children: Marvin Walden (Vicky) and Ansel Walden; grandchildren: Dustin Walden (Kelly), Olivia Walden and Nicky Pope; great grandchildren: Blakely Capps and Gracen Caulder.

Phil worked for over 35 years as an office agent with Piedmont Airlines and US Airways, which was more than just a career to him. He enjoyed quality time at the beach and mountains with family and friends. He was an euthanistic member while serving in the 71st Ruritan Club in Fayetteville, NC and later the Neill's Creek Ruritan Club in Lillington, NC. He was a dedicated member of the Antique Automobile Club of America. As a child, Phil enjoyed time spent with the Royal Ambassadors "II Corinthians 5:20", as an adult Phil was a faithful member of the Simmons Sunday school class at Lillington Baptist Church.

He experienced pleasure within his backyard garage collecting antique and classic cars, repairing small engines and adding life to anything mechanical.

The family would like to extend our gratitude to Liberty Home Care.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 28, 2025 from 1:30 pm to 2:45 pm at Lillington Baptist Church, 210 W. Lofton Street, Lillington, NC. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 pm in the sanctuary with burial to follow at Westview Cemetery.
