Phillip C. Ward, Jr. was born on October 20, 1965, in Fort Myers, Florida to the late Phillip C. Ward, Sr. and Rosa L. Ward. The family resided in Fort Myers, Florida where he attended Lee County PublicSchools...Cape Coral High School Class of 1983.
Phillip was a talented landscaper & lawn maintenance business owner prior to becoming disabled in 2005. His prior work history also includes working for the City of Fort Myers as Lead Landscaper for the Burroughs Home & Gardens.
Looking further back, as the true entrepreneur he was,he opened and operated a window tenting & stereo installation business. He was a gifted repairman of lawn mowers and electronics of all types. His Favorite pastime prior to his disability was fishing & billiards (playing pool).
Phillip was a man of many talents and passions. He enjoyed life, some of his hobbies included: painting,sketching, & cooking (especially, cooking Japanese cuisine). Moonie was truly a comedian at heart. He wasknown for his witty personality and ability to make you laugh.
Phillip was preceded in death by his father, Phillip C. Ward, Grandparents: Rose & Phillip Ward; Dave and Mamie Williams and several aunts and uncles...
Phillip will be deeply missed and leaves to cherish hismemory his mother, Rosa Ward, wife, Joyce Barnes and three loving Children: Latisha Tate (Lavar) Lawrenceville, GA; Jocelyn Ward; FL; Phillip (PJ) Ward, Jr. Charlotte, NC, Grandchildren: Leah and Logan Tate. Bonus son: Lorenzo Newberry.
Siblings: Kimberly Joyner, Bettye Walker, Barbie Kephart (Ken) Lake City, FL, Dexter Ward, Evelyn Ward, Tyrone Ward (Pearly), Mamie Ward Gainesville, FL; & Michael Ward and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces,nephews, extended family and friends.
